A few words to some competitors and the difference to us:

| We have considered a long time whether we should publish this text or not. But because we find out over and over again that not only a few Internet-Websites do work - at least to our standards – with unfair means, we decided to list at least some of it here: |

Beside the prices crossed out amounts are shown which should suggest what the customer would have to pay directly at the hotel. Nevertheless, mostly these prices are without of any basis, partly they are hardly else to call than utopistic.
The number of the still available rooms that are shown at some of these "direct booking websites" are extremely low, to make the customer believe that the desired room will not be available any more if he doesn't book immediately. Thus we have already seen, that for example months before only 2 rooms were available for the coming rainy season, although the resort has roughly 50 of these categories ...
Pictures from only one, mostly expensive, room category are published which are all just called "guest-rooms", but were not associated to the categories of the Resorts. After the customer arrived, he found out that his booked room does not remotely correspond to what he has seen before on the website.
Cancelation policies are not published, the customer receives them after his request with the offer. |

The same general cancelation policies are published for all resorts. We know from experience, that they are different from Resort to Resort. We have already seen that there is no refund, although we know definitively that the cancellation fee of this particular Resort are only 3 nights.
Rooms are offered for an unbeatable cheap price. If a customer requests for this room, he'll find out in the answer that it is not available anymore. Other categories are surely free which are quite often more expensive than somewhere else.
On one of the biggest booking-websites we found a small link that warned about hidden costs when booking with other websites. But on all of their hotel pages a cheaper price was published and after checking out the availability fees of about 20 % of the room rate were added ...
On this website it is also pointed out explicitly that other websites may conceal taxes and or other fees. The customer must be aware that – in case he books somewhere else - he might have to pay up to 30 % when he leaves the resort. We never ever heard of such methods and think that this statement is at least doubtable! |
The prices you see on our website are those you have to pay. Merely for reservations below a total value of 20,000.- Baht we unfortunately have to require a small transfer fee (on which, for technical reasons, we point out on the reservation form) – and these are only raised because they are really estimated even higher by the banks.
After we have received the total, definitively no other costs come up to our customers!
Even though we belong to the cheap websites, we are definitely not the cheapest. Who puts such an effort in a website to create more than 1000 photos, panoramas and 360° pictures and publishes so many information pages can't handle bookings where almost no profit is gained as this also takes quite a bit of time. This can only be done by websites that don't offer much else than (at least at the first sight) cheap prices as they don't spend time for much else.
Thus you will neither find pictures of long drinks in front of a romantic sunset nor nicely arranged plates with all kinds of fanciful dishes (which could be taken from any cookbook) that are usually not served like this in the resort restaurants.
We almost only publish self-taken pictures: On our website the customer sees what he will get in his resort BEFORE he books!
Apart from that we also don't just copy texts from advertisement brochures of the resorts but try to publish ALL information we can get in self-written texts.
On our website you will not find any resort that offers us a contract – we select very carefully and only publish resorts we think the price-performance ratio is good. Therefore the chance is substantially higher that our customers arrive satisfied at home after their holidays.
We certainly don't want to suggestive of a false impression: Of course we are not the only website in the big wide Internet that works "clean" and honest. But in our opinion there are unfortunately too many which do not.
Finally we'd like to mention that we (Peter Heim and Volker Kopetzky), the "makers" of this website, both live on Koh Chang. This means that usually at least one of us can be at your hotel in case it's necessary to help. Although fortunately it just happened a few times we then were always able to negotiate better conditions for our customers as they would have got on their own.
We are convinced that honesty, transparency and service pay off – not only for us, but also for our customers. Thus we hope that you do not only chose your desired resort on this website but also book it here instead of somewhere else where you might save a few Baht per night – without your bookings this website will not exist forever ...
