| Kai Bae Beach (Haad Kai Bae)
is situated south of Khlong Prao Beach. It is an almost 2.5
kilometre-long beautiful sand beach, which is partially lined
by over-hanging palms and broad-leaved trees. |

The bay is divided into 3 sections:
The northern and the middle are both about 1 kilometre long,
while the southernmost, directly in front of the island Koh
Man Nai, is approximately 300 metres long.
Like all beaches on the west coast Kai Bae Beach is flat,
but nevertheless all the time suitable for bathing. In the
dryer months, at low tide however, one must walk up to 100
metres or more to the deeper waters. |

Four islands, Ko Yuak,
Ko Pli, Ko Man Nok and Ko Man
Nai, are idyllically placed in the bay. During the
summer months, at low-tide, Ko Man Nai
can be reached by foot.
The road is in suitable distance from the beach and rises
at the southern end steeply, where the jungle-covered mountains
get closer to the ocean. |

In the north of Kai Bae village (Baan
Kai Bae) the "3 & 3 Plaza" was built,
where you find some shops, a few small bars and restaurants.
But also outside, everywhere along the main road, there are
a lot more shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and Internet
cafés located.
In the north of Baan Kai Bae,
just before Baan Map Khangkhao,
the sothernmost village of Klong Prao Beach, a small clinic
is located.

At the hill at the southern end of the road
towards Bang Bao Bay is a viewpoint directly by the side of
the road. This offers a fantastic view over the 4 islands
in front of Kai Bae Beach. There you'll also find the office
of the tourist-police.
A few metres below, directly at the road to Sea
View Resort & Spa, you have a wonderful view
over Kai Bae Beach and Khlong Prao Beach all the way to the
mountains behind White Sand Beach.

Arrival & Departure:
Kai Bae Beach can be reached from the piers in approximately
45 minutes by taxi.
If you have advanced bookings you should tell the taxi driver
the name of the resort or the hotel, otherwise you can get
the driver to stop anywhere you want by knocking on the car-body.
The departure times of the taxis to Dan-Kao-Pier are subject
to seasonal change, so check in advance.
