The beach is divided into 3 sections by 2 river estuaries: the Khlong Plu in the north and the Klong Prao in the south.     At the channel of the Klong Prao Beach   In the middle of Klong Prao Beach   The northern and southern part are both a good kilometre long and the middle one approximately 1,5 kilometres. In the north it ends at the rock Laem Chai Chet. The southern sector, which is called Klong Makok Beach, ends at a rock that seperates it from Kai Bae Beach. The beach is rather flat, like almost all along the west coast, but nevertheless well suitable for bathing. Two small islands, Ko Suwan and Ko Rom are located at the southern end of Khlong Prao Beach.     In the south of Klong Prao Beach   At the river Klong Prao   The road runs almost everywhere in suitable distance from the beach and accommodation. There are 3 villages located at Klong Phrao Beach: Bann Chai Chet in the north, in the middle Baan Klong Prao, the original village, where you find besides the school and the temple also a small clinic (opening-times: Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm), and Baan Map Khangkhao in the south.     North of the river Klong Prao   The north of Klong Prao Beach   In all villages you find so called "Plazas": shopping centres with restaurants, travel-agencies and supermarkets. But also outside of these "Plazas" there are many shops, bars, restaurants, motorbike rentals, all mainly located at the road along Klong Prao Beach. In Baan Map Khangkhao in the south of Klong Prao Beach, directly at the raod, you find the Klong Prao Internet, that offers beside fast DSL Internet connection a variety of tours on and around Ko Chang.     In the north of Klong Prao Beach: on the Laem Chai Chet   In the middle of Klong Prao Beach   Between Baan Chai Chet and Baan Klong Prao, towards Kai Bae Beach, is the turn-off to the road that leads to the most popular and well-known waterfall on the island, the Khlong Plu Waterfall. Arrival & Departure: Klong Prao Beach can be reached from the piers in approximately 30 - 40 minutes by taxi.   If you have advanced bookings you should tell the taxi driver the name of the resort or the hotel, otherwise you can get the driver to stop anywhere you want by knocking on the car-body.
